The Property

The Dussaillant Lehmann estate is located near the Longaví River, in the Andean foothills in the southeastern part of the Maule Valley, Chile. The vineyard is surrounded by poplar trees, which are common in the region, and features a cool climate and volcanic soils with a high organic content. Fernando Dussaillant and Dominique Lehmann bought the property in 2004 and planted seven varieties of apples, walnuts, asparagus, and annual crops such as sugar beets, wheat, and beans.

The vineyard was planted in 2009 and currently comprises about five hectares of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Gewürztraminer. The vines are hand pruned and managed using French methods, with low yields to promote vine health and optimal quality. The grapes are hand harvested.
